The Last Supper
Staying with Rhonda's parents for the month of April has been to partake in a gastronomic feast. We will miss them, even after we all lived together for one month. For our last supper we took them and her brother, Greg, to the California Cafe in Los Gatos for dinner.

Surprise Family Visit
My cousin Luanne (far left) and her family came from Kailua-Kona, Hawaii to see their mom/grandma, my Aunt Norma. She and her daughters are very loving and caring. My aunt will return to live with them in Hawaii after her convalescent is completed. The last four years she lived with her son and eldest daughter in California and Oregon, respectively.
It had been twelve years since we were all together at my Aunt & Uncle's 50th wedding anniversary celebration.
Trent "The Man" Roberts
Top: Unbeknownst to me when my son was a little babe, my brother gave him his first beer to hold for a photo-op. Fast-forward 20 years and Uncle Greg brings the picture as a college house-warming gift.
Middle: What can I say about my son? He's a chip off the ol' block. Here he is with his very own AR-14.
Bottom: Trent and his roommate, Jason.

Lunch with David & Kathy
We enjoyed a leisurely lunch with David & Kathy on the sloping hillside of their backyard in Oakland. We have now had the pleasure of visiting them in all three of their homes, two in Mexico and one in California. Kathy makes necklaces and the glass beads. She is also writing a screen play based on the book she wrote about her Palestinian grandmother's life in Mexico. David lives and loves life to the fullest in all he does.
San Francisco Ballet
At the War Memorial Opera House we saw the San Francisco Ballet perform the Haffner Symphony, Russian Seasons and the world premiere of Underskin. Exquisite costumes with modern ballet. Wine and desserts were delivered to the box during both intermissions.

College Track Meets
Rhonda's son, Trent, throws the shot put, discus and hammer for Sacramento City College. We saw him throw at the American River College and UC Davis track meets. Trent's PRs for his freshman year are 43 feet in shot put, 137 feet in discus and 130 feet in hammer.
Dinner with Amy, Rudy & Amaya
We spent an evening with Al's niece Amy and her husband, Rudy. A delicious dinner made by Rudy featured Jamaican Jerk Chicken. The "star" of the evening was two-year-old Amaya with her delightful laughter and enthusiastic spirit.
Golden Gate Park, San Francisco
A day at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco with Rhonda's brother, Greg, exploring the new California Academy of Sciences and the Japanese Tea Gardens. If you visit make sure to have lunch downstairs at the Moss Room restaurant. Highlights were the albino alligator, tropical fish and the Borneo exhibit followed by a tranquil walk through the gardens.
